Aurora Dichroic Fact Sheet:
The dichroic is designed to remain stable at fusing temperatures and still display a splendid array of colors. Please avoid fusing the dichroic coated side to another dichroic coated side. Protecting the coating with a clear spray or fusing clear glass on top or firing it will protect the coating and prevent it from etching off. Never submerge Aurora Dichroic in acid baths or plating solutions. Use caution when firing any type of dichroic. The dichroic films will burn out at too high a temperature. Never laminate the Aurora Dichroic coated surface to another surface of glass especially if the dichroic pieces are utilized as the support for the weight of the piece.
When using a Aurora Dichroic for stained glass, care should be taken not to scratch or destroy the coating by use of glazing materials. The dichoric coating should be protected.
